Maddy and JD are the husband and wife team behind Them Bites
What began as a way to spend time cooking together has grown into a shared mission: to explore food as a bridge across cultures, communities and personal histories. They believe that anyone, regardless of budget or skill level, can create simple, satisfying meals, and they’re here to make it easy.
Maddy brings her experience as a photo and video journalist to every recipe and story, capturing the moments that make food memorable. JD draws on more than a decade of kitchen experience, from sushi chef to line cook, and pairs it with his background in digital marketing and design. Together they combine over 35 years of hands-on food knowledge, storytelling expertise and audience engagement.
Based in Asheville, North Carolina, a small city in the Southern Appalachians, they love highlighting recipes, nostalgic food, and drinks.
