Materials

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter or oil

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix together the salt, flour, baking powder, and sugar. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg, milk, and butter. Next, add the wet ingredients to the dry and stir to combine. Do not overmix or the pancakes will be tough.
  • Heat a nonstick griddle or cast iron pan over medium high heat. Brush with oil, cooking spray or butter.
  • For each pancake, use a measuring cup to pour about ¼ cup of batter onto the griddle. Cook 2 - 3 minutes or until bubble and dry around the edges. Flip and cook the other side until golden brown.
