Equipment

  • 1 high powered blender or processor

Materials

  • 1 cup raw almonds
  • 1 - 1 ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • ¼ cup grapeseed oil or other neutral oil
  • 3 tb liquid aminos or soy sauce or tamari
  • 3 tb rice vinegar
  • 3 tb nutritional yeast
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 chipotle peppers
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients to a blender or food processor. Blend on high until smooth, about 2 minutes. Add more water if it’s too thick. Taste and adjust seasonings.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
