Equipment

  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Spatula
  • 1 Frying Pan
  • 1 Toaster
  • 1 Cheese grater

Materials

  • 1 Serving Dungeness Crab
  • 1 Serving Bread of choice
  • 1 Cup Grated Cheddar Cheese
  • 2 tbsp Mayo
  • 1/2 Cup Finely chopped green onions
  • 1/4 Cup Finely chopped celery

Instructions

  • In a mixing dish, start by adding the diced celery, green onions, mayonnaise, and Dijon mustard to the Dungeness crab meat. Mix the ingredients together gently until thoroughly mixed.
  • Heat a griddle or frying pan to a medium temperature. On one side of every bread slice, spread butter.
  • Place a piece of bread on the heating pan, butter side down. Spread a good amount of the crab mixture on the top.
  • Make sure the crab mixture is completely covered by adding grated cheddar cheese on top.
  • On top of the cheese layer, place another slice of bread, butter side up.
  • Cook the sandwich for 3–4 minutes on each side, or until the cheese is perfectly melted and the bread is golden brown.
  • When cooked, take the sandwich out of the pan and allow it to cool for one minute before slicing.
  • Enjoy the mouthwatering tastes of the Oregon Crab Melt while it's still hot.
