9 x 5 bread loaf pan
1 hand mixer
- 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- sprinkle of salt
- ½ cup dark chocolate chopped into chunks
- ½ cup cherries pitted and chopped into small pieces
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
Place a large bowl in the freezer while you prep the sweetened condensed milk.
In another bowl, add the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, and salt. Whisk to combine. Next, add in the chocolate and cherries and mix (reserving a small handful for the top).
Remove bowl from the freezer and add the heavy cream. Use a hand mixer to whip until stiff peaks form, about 3 minutes.
Next, add in the sweetened condensed milk mixture and use a rubber spatula to gently fold in.
Pour the mixture into the loaf pan and sprinkle remaining chocolate and cherries on top. Cover and freeze for at least 6 hours (we did overnight).
Remove from the freezer and let sit for 1 minute. Scoop and enjoy.
