Equipment

  • 9 x 5 bread loaf pan
  • 1 hand mixer

Ingredients

  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • sprinkle of salt
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chopped into chunks
  • ½ cup cherries pitted and chopped into small pieces
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  • Place a large bowl in the freezer while you prep the sweetened condensed milk.
  • In another bowl, add the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, and salt. Whisk to combine. Next, add in the chocolate and cherries and mix (reserving a small handful for the top).
  • Remove bowl from the freezer and add the heavy cream. Use a hand mixer to whip until stiff peaks form, about 3 minutes.
  • Next, add in the sweetened condensed milk mixture and use a rubber spatula to gently fold in.
  • Pour the mixture into the loaf pan and sprinkle remaining chocolate and cherries on top. Cover and freeze for at least 6 hours (we did overnight).
  • Remove from the freezer and let sit for 1 minute. Scoop and enjoy.
