- 2 slices sourdough bread
- 3 slices oven roasted turkey breast
- 1 small tart apple thinly sliced
- 3 - 4 slices white cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp butter
- optional: pickled red onion
- 2 tbsp grainy mustard
- 1 tsp maple syrup
Mix together the maple syrup and mustard. Taste and add more maple syrup if desired.
Slather one side of each piece of bread with butter. On the other side, generously lather with the maple syrup mustard.
Add cheese, turkey, apple, and pickled onions (if using). Top with other slice of bread.
Heat a skillet over medium and carefully add the sandwich. Toast until brown one on side then flip. It’s done when both sides are golden brown.
Remove from the heat and slice down the middle.
